NEW Kits N Giggles Kit... Popsical Paradise

So this is our NEW kit for this month over at Kits N Giggles. Oh, I just LOVE it!! I had these perfect pics to put on it of a day out in the backyard with the kids playing in the pool and eating popsicles with the neighbors and their cousins. Ashley did such a wonderful job with the penguin paper piecing while I designed the cutout sheet that works so nicely with the patterned paper! I was so excited that I got a layout AND a page out of this kit and I think if I would have tried harder I could have gotten another page out of it!
So head over to
Kits N Giggles
and get this kit... you will LOVE it too!

Here is my example...
I used my Cuttlebug embossing folders & Stickles
on the swimsuits that the penguins are wearing...I added the buttons from my stash...I used pop-dots to add a bit of character...

Here is my extra page that I squeezed out of the same kit.
I love these pics of my sweet little Shay...
I LOVE Stickles... can you tell?!
Again... visit Kits N Giggles to get this kit!

BLOOM

Here is my last layout for a while for eBay.
I'm going to be focusing on my cut files for
The Paper Piecing Beehive
and the layout kits for Kits N Giggles
from now on. You will still see my layouts, but I will be scrapbooking my kids and family instead of selling them! I will hopefully be coming up with new paper piecing cut files. I should have my Bear cut file that I used on this layout up for sale very soon. Thanks for all you wonderful support with my selling of layouts! I have some of the best customers and friends around!

Please email me (katiebeescrap@hotmail.com) if you would like to be added to my email list for when I have new cut files over at The Paper Piecing Beehive or I have any other news to share. I don't email often! :) Thanks - XO Kate

Take a look at the hidden pocket...
The word "BLOOM" has glaze on it to make it stand out.

I finally updated!! YEAH!

The title says it all! It feels so good to have my blog all current, at least I hope it is. I tried to back post so everything is on the right date or close to it. So even if the date says April 14th (which is as far back as I went), I really posted it tonight! hehe Sneaky, huh?!

Thanks for all your patience, i hope to keep it better updated from now on! :) I hope you enjoy everything I've been up to the past couple of months!

So Stink'n Much kit...

So we finally have another kit up for sale over at

This one is called "So Stink'n Much" and I absolutely LOVE it!! It was SO fun to put together and easy too! The reason I love it so much is because of the darling skunks that Ashley designed... they are supposed to represent an adult and a child. I used my adult skunk as Grandpa and the child as my son. They both come with bows that can be used to show that the skunk is either a boy or a girl... super smart of her! :) And Julio and I designed the cutout sheet this time around which was SO much fun... we've never did anything like it before, we think it turned out perfect... very versitile! Here is my take... I hope you enjoy!

Grandfather and Grandson...
The kit also comes with "bonus" templates
of a tree, a mushroom and clouds!
I used my CuttleBug to emboss the tree...
I made it looks like a scene in the middle of the layout...

Next project...

So this is my next project I just started for my daughter Shay.... plastic canvas Barbie furniture! She is so excited... actually I'm super excited too, though it is EXTREMELY time consuming!!

When I was little, my sister made me a bedroom set that I cherished, but unfortunately most of it was destroyed in a house fire that we had when I was just starting my Sophomore year of High School. Those were the only things I cried about losing in the fire because I wanted to someday give them to my daughter. So I'm going to try to make up for that damage and make some of this furniture for her now and hopefully someday she can give them to her daughter!! I love sentimental stuff like that! :)

Here is the Laundry Room...
and the Living room...
Here are the colors I'm using...
purples, greens with just a little yellow and white.
I'm hoping to find the pattern for the bedroom set too and maybe the kitchen but we'll see... let me get this done first! hehe Wish me lots of luck because I'm really going to need it... I have corpral tunnel that makes me work a bit on the slower side but I'm not going to let it stop me!!

Flower Hair Pretties

So my friend Ash showed me how to make these darling flower hair pretties! I'm so excited to make them in ever color for my daughter Shay. Well actually I've wore them a couple of times too! :) I've only made like 3 pairs of them but I'm so loving them... I already have some fabric to make more! They are so fun but a bit time consuming but also so worth it... Shay loves them! I love being crafty for my kids! hehe ;)

We went to an Air Show a couple weeks ago,
Shay and I wore them...Thanks Ash!

latest layouts...

I recently made these 2 layouts for gifts. I designed the bear and the tutu using my Pazzles and finally actually cut them out and made them... which is a miracle in it's self! lol I love how this layout turned out... simple and it shows off the pictures of my nieces nicely!

I hope to have the bear and the tutu on my Paper Piecing Beehive blog soon for purchase as a digital file or PDF.

I already have my bunny file up for sale over at The Paper Piecing Beehive and I used my CuttleBug to cut our the flowers. I LOVE how this one turned out too!! All the fun Stickles and colors... so yummy!

Ben's Apron...

Ok, so this ISN'T Ben but I had to use my son Kayde as the model and he wasn't too trilled about it! :) I made this boy apron for my cousin's son Ben. He LOVES to cook with this mom and even has his own toy kitchen. Oh I forgot to mention that Ben just turned 2 and I made it for his birthday. He also enjoys watching Rachel Ray! I think it is SO cute... maybe some day he'll become the next Chef Rocco! hehe I just purchased the material to makes my daughter, Shay, a new apron for her birthday but i also got enough to make a table cloth and all the accesories. It is green with cupcakes and red and pink cherries... I can't wait to start it!
My first hotpad... not too shabby!
Kayde is finally happy now that we whipped him up a bottle! lol I know it is a little big but Ben is a bit bigger and it has plenty of glowing room!

Bunny layout

I found pictures of this layout that I made for eBay and couldn't believe that I had forgot to post them here on my scrapbook blog!! Btw... it sold. :) I let the customer choose what that title was!

I love how I did this photo mat... you can't see it but in person it looks really cool. The two side pieces are connected with the middle on on top of it.
I LOVE my bunnies with them holding the
big flowers... always a favorite of mine!
You can get the bunny cut files over at my other blog...

My "Crafty" Resume...

So awhile back, I applied for a job at one of my local scrapbook stores for a part time position. I didn't end up getting the job because I couldn't work in the morning, just evening, but I wanted to show off my resume that I made for it. I used to work for a scrapbook store and we loved when people would bring in resumes that were scrapbooked... it showed that they would enjoy working there. So I decided to too. I think it turned out simple but it gets the point across that I love to scrapbook!!

I hope to have this bear and the bee costume up for sale as a digital file in my Paper Piecing Beehive blog here soon!
